The last couple of weeks have been pretty intense. Packing to leave, finding everything I would need, airports and layovers, all the while it was show week for Grease! If you came out to see the show, then great! If you didn’t, then either I was too busy to tell you about it, OR you are just cheap!
Either way it doesn’t matter now, because I am in Dublin! This is my first time accross the ocean and it’s sort of unreal. Don’t think it has really hit me yet that I am going to be here for a long time. It feels more like a classics conference for a weekend or so.
The school work has been very fend for yourself, throw you in the deep end and learn to swim mind of teaching. There is a lot of “now cut open that and remove the blahadah” and before you can ask what a blahadah is, looks like, or where it is… it hits you that you don’t know the proper way to cut open that part of the leg or even if a “proper way” exists.
I don’t have the internet yet at my place and as I type this I am in the Mercer Library. I feel very cut off from the world without internet. I’m not sure if its the whole thousands of miles from home thing or just that I’m a computer geek but the isolation is almost freaky.
Back to studying I must go. We have our big first test tomorrow and at present moment I know very little.
